AJ Emms & Adams Motorsports Together for 2015 OSCAAR Modified Season

When Allen Adams went looking for a new driver for his #99 OSCAAR Modified, he had his eyes set on an experienced driver, and that is what he found. The team will be entering their second year of competition with the series with yet another top rookie driver, AJ Emms.

Although on paper AJ is a rookie with the series, his experience will show that he will be a force each and every week. Among his many titles is 5 time GO Karting Champion at the Simcoe, Toronto, Kawartha – Durham Kart Clubs. For three years AJ was the runner up in the Hurricane Midget series while racking up over 10 feature wins. Most recently AJ has been enjoying success in the Pro 4 Modified where last season saw the team win an amazing 7 features out of 12 and the 2014 Championship.

AJ is very grateful for the opportunity to work with Adams Motorsports and to be a part of OSCAAR tour. For many years AJ has watched the series grow and now to have the opportunity to travel with the series to all the different tracks, it was really a no brainer at jumping at this opportunity.aj_emms_pro4

The team has been busy in the shop since the end of the 2014 season making changes to the car. Team owner Allen Adams is keeping things pretty close chested about the changes but he did say they have an all new body, a brand new built motor ready to go in the #99. With a smile Allen also said they have a couple of other surprises as well. AJ knows working with a new team, getting use to a new car and adapting to the changes will be a challenge but he has confidence in his crew and himself. AJ knows he will be competing with the best that there is in modified racing and will have to rely on all his past experience each week. AJ is very confident that their team will be up for the challenge starting at opening day at Sunset Speedway.

The team has one main goal heading into the season, complete every lap, record some top finishes and eliminate the DNF’s. After that the points will take care of themselves, and AJ would love nothing better than to bring the Rookie of The Year title to Adams Motorsports.

aj_emms_pro4_2When asked about his future in racing, AJ is quick to point out that he simply does not think that far ahead. Right now his main focus is on the #99 modified and working with his new team. On some off weekends you will still most likely find AJ racing either in his limited late model, or his Outlaw Modified.

One thing becomes very obvious this young man is very dedicated to his team and his sport and that should bring the success they deserve. Fans can also follow the team on facebook at Adams Motorsports for all the latest news from the team.

OSCAAR would like to with AJ and his team to the series and the best of luck in the 2015 season.
