9th in OSCAAR Modified Points – Tim Tolton

Tim Tolton OSCAAR Modified's

After starting off the season solidly and enduring a rough summer, Tim Tolton completed his season with a solid runs en route to placing ninth in the final OSCAAR Modified standings.

Kicking off the season at Flamboro Speedway in May, he showed promise right from the start, posting a ninth-place finish. He then backed it up with a 12th a week later at Kawartha Speedway.

Returning back to Flamboro in June, he improved upon his initial performance en route to seventh. The results kept coming as he would score a season-best finish at Sauble Speedway to follow.

Unfortunately, that’d be the last good thing for awhile as Tolton endured a tough summer. After starting it off with a wreck at Kawartha Speedway, he followed it up with mechanical issues at Flamboro that saw him complete only five laps.

The bad luck followed him to Peterborough Speedway, where his night ended early after getting wrecked during the qualifying race action. There was hope heading to Sauble after performing earlier in the year, but motor issues saw him down prematurely.

Initially, the team was set to end their race season early with no direction. However, after countless hours by the entire Black Magic Racing crew, they got everything done in time to make it to Sunset Speedway for the next event. Their hard work was rewarded with a solid 11th-place finish.

The final two events of the season saw the No. 3 Bondyn Products, Smokin’ Tony’s BBQ, Vinnie’s Mr. Fix-it, Engines From Hal, Moonlight Design, and Robson Promoting Modified return to proper form. Tolton battled hard on the outside at Flamboro en route to a fifth, followed by a seventh at Peterborough despite being involved in two cautions.

On behalf of OSCAAR, congratulations to Tim Tolton and Black Magic Racing on a solid season.
