Qwick Wick Fire Starter OSCAAR Hot Rods Delaware Speedway Preview

LONDON, Ontario — The busy stretch of racing continues for the Qwick Wick OSCAAR Hot Rods, as they head to Delaware Speedway on Saturday, September 24.

It will mark the fourth time the Hot Rods have raced at the half-mile, following their inaugural appearance last season. Thus far, we have seen Steve Book, Jesse Kennedy, and Dalen Martin pick up feature victories.

Following each of the events, regardless of the winter, the fans have left the speedway talking about the racing, as the stars of the series have battle side-by-side for multiple laps for positions throughout the field.

Steve Book heads into this weekend with a smile on his face following just four finishes worse than sixth in his last 23 series starts, including a victory at Brighton Speedway. In three races at Delaware Speedway, he has scored a win, a seventh and a fifth.

Paul Senior hopes to have a good outing as he has scored a top-10 finish in his last seven series starts, including a runner-up at Delaware Speedway. He placed eighth in his other appearance at the half-mile.

Gary Hannah hopes to turn things around after failing to start the last two series events due to mechanical gremlins. He picked up a track-best 13th at Delaware Speedway in July.

Steve Adams is looking for redemption behind the wheel of the Oldsmobile after seeing his trip to Flamboro end early with a crash on the frontstretch. He was decent at Delaware in July, placing 16th.

Ryan Cowan looks to keep the improvement rolling, after scoring a top-10 in four his last five series appearances. He has placed 12th and 10th in his pair of showings at the half-mile.

Nick Clarke hopes to keep the pretty in the blue mustang, along with the current momentum following a pair of back-to-back podium appearances. He picked up a runner-up at Delaware in July, to go with two top-10’s in three appearances.

Connor Ellis hopes to score his third career top-10 finish following a solid 12th-place finish at Flamboro Speedway. He placed 14th and ninth at Delaware in July.

Donny Beatty is another driver looking to keep the momentum rolling, following back-to-back top-10 finishes in his latest series appearances.

Tom Walters rolls into Delaware Speedway with momentum on his side following four straight podium finishes. He has scored two podiums in three appearances at Delaware, including a runner-up.

Rob Bromley heads to Delaware Speedway with momentum on his side, following eight top-10’s in nine series races this season. Notably, he has scored a pair of top-15’s in three Delaware appearances, including a fifth in July.

Bill Zardo Sr. hopes to keep the momentum rolling, following a sixth-place finish at Flamboro Speedway. In a pair of appearances at Delaware, he picked up a 22nd and a third.

Ronald Parsons hopes to improve upon his debut with the series from June, where he placed 16th.

Cole Weber heads to Delaware Speedway with momentum on his side after scoring three victories in his last five series appearances. Notably, he has a pair of top-10’s in three starts at Delaware, including a fifth.

Sean Walker will hope to improve upon his previous results this season as he makes his first trip to the half-mile.

Another past series winner in the field will be Billy Alderson Jr., hoping to pick up a checkered flag at the half-mile.

Dalen Martin has been consistent on the tour, scoring six top-10’s in his last seven series appearances. He knows what it takes to be successful at Delaware, having scored a pair of top-five’s in three races, including a victory in July.

Trevor Thompson made a big splash when he entered the Hot Rod tour, and it seems the speed has remained in the Camaro ever since as evident by a seventh-place finish at Sauble Speedway. He placed 10th in his first trip to the half-mile.

Beyond the drivers mentioned here, there is the possibility to see other faces make an appearance this weekend at Delaware Speedway.
