Peterborough, On. (Nov. 1, 2022) – OSCAAR has merged with the United Racing Series effective immediately. OSCAAR has been entertaining fans across Ontario for 32 years with good car counts and exciting door to door action with various divisions but most recently with the Modified and Hot Rods and after intermittent discussions between the two groups for a couple of years now an agreement has been reached.

“Luke Ramsay and I have had discussions over the past two years about how to move OSCAAR forward and during the 2022 season talks had intensified” mentions Dave Gainforth the President of OSCAAR when asked how this came about. Gainforth goes on to say, “I feel I have taken OSCAAR as far as I can without additional resources and by merging with the United Racing Series and tapping into their expertise and support, we can only become better in all areas”

It will be business as usual to start and as with any businesses in the Motorsport Industry this is the time of year that everyone reviews the past season(s) while preparing for the season ahead. “The United Racing Series is excited to welcome OSCAAR into our family, Dave will still be at the helm and with technical, administration and marketing support from our group we feel that together we can help move the Modifieds and Hot Rods to the next level” explains Luke Ramsay of the United Racing Series. “We have always looked at ways to expand our brand and footprint in Motorsports and this is a perfect opportunity” when asked why the addition of the two OSCAAR divisions.

Don’t look for any drastic changes and plans for 2023 will be announced as they become available.
