Running a partial schedule, Cole Weber made the most of the events he attended with four trips to feature victory lane powered by EPIC Racewear for the Qwick Wick OSCAAR Hot Rods.
Weber made his first appearance of the 2022 campaign at Sauble Speedway in July, and immediately found his way to the front of the field. After winning both JRS Auctions heats, he made his way up to third after starting eighth by the first caution at Lap 8. He took the lead on Lap 17, holding off tour veterans Tom Walters and Steve Book for the victory.
He carried the momentum to Sunset Speedway a week later, once again winning both of his qualifying heats. He started pole virtue of the qualifying system, pacing the field through the entire 30 laps en route to his second straight victory.
The next event at Delaware Speedway started off solidly with a third-place finish in the first heat, however he got caught up in a wreck on Lap 2 in turn two. He would be scored 23rd in the final rundown. He returned the next day, rebounding well to win his qualifier. Although he was one of several to sustain damage in a restart incident, he battled his way to sixth at the checkered.
After taking a month off away from the tour, Weber returned to group for Flamboro Speedway at the end of August. It was like he did not miss a beat, once again winning his qualifying heat as fans had accustomed too. Starting eighth, he worked his way forward through the field to take over third at the halfway mark. A late-race restart was all he needed, getting alongside Tom Walters on the final lap and edging him at the line for the victory.
He returned to Delaware at the end of September, once again visiting heat victory lane. He made his way forward to run fifth under the first yellow flag with just 10 laps on the board, and continued to up the running order to place second at the checkered.
Weber’s last start of the year came a week later at Flamboro, with a victory in his first heat, followed by a third in the second despite a mid-race incident. Taking the feature green flag on the front row, he battled for the lead with Dalen Martin through the early laps, utilizing a restart with eighth to go to seize the lead. He then led the rest of the way en route to his fourth checkered flag of 2022.
Although Weber was not with the tour on a weekly basis, everyone knew to keep an eye on the No. 9 every race he attended by the success alone.
